A look at the psychological effects of rape when a woman becomes so unstrung by the senseless attack that she runs away from home and from her fiancée. Under an assumed name and with the help of a clergyman, she endeavors to carve out a new life but the memories continues to haunt her until a moment comes when she believes herself to be in harm’s way again.
